Our 501(c)(3) non- profit (public charity) organization is dedicated to animals and pet owners in need. Our entire team is dedicated to the safety of all animals.
OWC speaks to elementary schools about the importance of the humane treatment to all animals.
We also offer a low cost spay/neuter program, free straw delivery to outdoor animals, and pet food assistance, depending on availability.

MAKE THE CALL FOR STRAW (330-364-7190)
Pet owners are required BY LAW, to keep pets from suffering in ANY way: O.R.C 959.131. Note: SHIVERING IS A FORM OF SUFFERING. During the winter, use STRAW bedding at ALL times! (NOT HAY or Cedar Chips-they will NOT keep your pet warm). The use of straw during the frigid winter months will comfort your pet and ultimately save him from a slow, agonizing death by freezing! When straw gets low at any time, call us. Straw is available for pick-up only. Straw is now available. but please purchase from a store near you if you are able.
Remember, if you are uncomfortable outside, so is your pet. Also, feeding your pet adequately (twice daily during winter months), will keep his core temperature up, therefore, help him stay warm. The function of digestion (homeostasis process) actually raises the pets body temperature. Water is just as important. Cold weather dehydrates. Refill frozen water as needed. And last of all, look deep within yourself and ask the question; "What kind of person am I, if I allow my pet to suffer horribly outside, while I sit comfortably inside?"

Since OWC's inception on December 8th 2008, 2,302 food deliveries have been made! 164 Family pets have been outfitted with new doghouses! New doghouses are currently available (for free), to house needy pets or replace worn out houses.3300+ family dogs & neighborhood cats have been sterilized through our low cost spay/neuter programs since 2009. 631 dogs and 3 horses have been placed in lovely homes since Warm & Cozy Sanctuary's inception in December, 2009
